MICHAEL FAUVER (from the French fauve, or “wild beast”) is a novelist and short-fiction writer from Saginaw, MI. His previous identities include closeted rec soccer player and marching band clarinetist, and he trained (briefly) to become a concert pianist at the University of Michigan School of Music. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts in creative writing at George Washington University.
MICHAEL has been awarded fellowships from Yaddo, The MacDowell Colony, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he also served as the associate fiction editor of The Iowa Review. He was recently named one of "Five New Queer Voices to Watch Out For" by Lambda Literary.
WIWRWYW comes from the title of his novel-in-progress, Why I Won't Remember Who You Were. He's also working on a collection of short stories.
